Kellen Rose's profile

What remains(poetry project)

If you ever go to Florida and you look past the beaches and the theme parks and the hotels. you'll find yourself in a deep green full of bugs odd people and poverty. Along this forgotten stretch of land lies the skeletons of Florida's past. The stories of these places long forgotten, like pages ripped from a journal. Within these places you might be able to surmise a narrative.
Florida has claimed these places for its own. The leaves and vines consume all of what remains. The people are gone but the life isn't.
It may be easy to assume what this was before nature took it back.
What remains.
